I’m Wari, and this is my small online corner. Wari is just a boring Thai name, so I sometimes prefix it with Hima, making Himawari, which means sunflower or, fittingly, doing-nothing Wari. I also go by Nonomiya, my favorite graduated VTuber’s surname. Depending on which community you’re in, you might know me as Wari, Hima/Him, or Nono.
I’m studying IT security and currently researching the security of open-source software. I’d say I’m moderately passionate about it: more than your average computer person, but less than most vocal FOSS nerds online. I’ve been daily-driving Debian since around 2015, currently with the wonderful, humble JWM. I’m completely satisfied with my Linux setup, so I never feel the urge to try Arch, Gentoo, or anything else. Again, moderate.
In my free time, I make icons for Arcticons, a FOSS icon pack for Android. My contributions might not look like much these days since I’m busy with studies, but I once terrorized the maintainers with PRs containing a hundred icons each, and I have no regrets about it.
I’ve never been much of a gamer. I like building rocks and cliffs in Minecraft and raising pixel dragons in Dragon Cave. I read some manga - currently enjoying One Piece, Shangri-La Frontier, and Spy x Family, but I don’t watch anime much anymore.
